East 84th Street

This couple moved into a new apartment and started from scratch.  They wanted the apartment to be a combination of their Southern roots mixed with East Coast sophistication, yet all the while, it needed to be relatively indestructible for their growing family.  We used heavier upholstery fabrics and reserved the more precious fabrics for the Roman shades (out of reach of little hands) and vintage Oushak area rugs to help disguise any potential spills.  For the dining room, we upholstered the chairs in the ultimate kid friendly material…a laminated fabric.
